Paul Bacon
Paul is a level 2 qualified FA coach and currently also coaches the under 12 jrs. His hobbies are marshal arts, (which he will not have time for when his third son starts playing football). Will he be able to remember all the boys names when he is involved in three teams?, let alone the differing rules. Remember Paul, under 12 play 11 a side, Under 9's 7 a side and Under 6's 7 a side. We know the rules will merge into one. For Paul weekends will soon never be the same again.(were they ever?)

Brian Vanderhook
Like many parents my son, Simon, came to the club as a 6 year old and sooner than you can say "your life is no longer yours to control", Adam Capper had me erecting the goals;
It was when the squad was split to start playing competitive football that I began helping Paul with the team and the rest as they say "is history".
I am one of a small breed known as a Millwall Supporter, and have been suffering for more years than I can remember.
I have a 'level 1 Certificate in Football Coaching', which I completed last summer.
I fervently believe that one day I shall return home to my wife who thought I was only popping out to watch one game three years ago!!! , (as did I).

Terry Billington (A parents perspective)
Looking at the team as a spectator and a parent, the boys have played for two years and gained a reasonable position in the Invicta League. They have also reached the semi-finals both years in the Consolation Cup. The boys have progressed in skill and have learnt to play well together as a team, they are a nice mix of lads. When they win it's great and when they lose, well, as long as they have done their best which they usually do, you can't ask for more. I have seen some teams go one or two goals down and down go their heads but our boys seem to get stuck in and try harder.
The pleasure of watching and the excitement they give makes us look forward to their next match.
Meeting the other parents each week has also made us friends and good fun is had by all.

OK Lads! what we want is a natural picture. ...Lads?..Just relax...& smile..no SMILE!...Lads..?
|
Stress free supporters..It's got to be before kickoff..
|
|
Ah yes! The supporter 'creep' starts before kickoff.. the phenomena where halfway through the match you find to be more supporters standing on the field of play than players, with the poor linesman trying to see over their heads.

"Someone let me know when I'm having fun"
Who says our supporters are not dedicated!!

At the Semi's; The guys practise their concentration by taking it in turns to levitate A small white ball.

The Team Management
|
Paul Bacon (Manager)
Paul 'The mild mannered manager' (Thus he is not a Millwall fan!!).
Paul is a level 2 qualified FA coach. Paul does a lot for Larkfield, (coaches the U 12 Jrs, Executive committee member and of course the keeper of 'The Key!').He must love this stuff what with the meetings and Managers coming around to his house all hours of the weekend. Curiously though Paul has recently changed the look of his house and removed the number from his front door.

Brian Vanderhook (Asst Manager)
Brian took on the 'Asst Mgr' mantle when the team became the 'juniors u8's'.
Brian is a 'Millwall' supporter... (No honestly he is!)

A Little Bit of our History
The core of the team have been at the club,(training & friendlys), since they were 6 Years old.
When the squad members reached 7 years of age the group was divided into the Juniors and Boys teams.
As with other teams, the squads have been added to over the years.
We believe the team should not be a 'win at all costs' and that all the players should be given the opportunity to play the same amount of Football.
To date we have reach both the under 8 and under 9 cup semi finals , using the squad rotation system we have in place to allow all boys to play our league placing's have been 6th at Under 8 and 5th at under 9.
