The Management

Rob Whenman
"The not so quiet one"
Rob has all the qualities you can hope for in a manager. Commitment , passion , loyalty; he really makes the boys want to play for the team. A great asset . He has also promised that he wont sing if we win the league. That should be enough to get the boys playing!!!!

A little bit of History
This team was formed for the 07~08 season being made up of the previous seasons Larkfield Boys U10 and Larkfield Juniors U10 . The Larkfield Boys were double winners in 2004/2005 at U8 and although there are only a few players left from that original side the style of football played has continued to be entertaining and free flowing. Rob has kept the bulk of his team from the Juniors U10 who narrowly missed promotion to the premier division in their own right that season by a solitary point. The team spirit and loyalty that Rob has installed in his team in previous years left us with a merged team of excellent quality and promise going forward.
2008/2009 Preview
In the first year of formation the boys managed to win the league title and gain promotion to the top division for 2008/2009 . (A much tougher test and we wish the boys all the best for the coming season).
We welcome two new players to the squad , Sahil and Dominic , and we look forward to these boys being part of a group with the same ethics and team spirit that we saw last season.
Our opening game is on Sunday 7th September against last years Premiership Double Winners Holtwood. If any parents could take some action pictures could you please send them to . anthony.warner1@btopenworld.comelf or Rob/George.
Other new entrants to the top division this year were Iwade Herons and Millstream and we wish them both all the best for the coming season.
As always we are looking for new players so if there is any players out there that wish to join the happy family which is Larkfield could you please refer them to myself or Rob/George.

Profiles
Jack Kenny
Originally with Rob , then with George , Jack has been one of the star goalkeepers at Larkfield. After some intense training he has shown some great potential and has already made some great saves. He has also shown that the "big goals" are not going to be a problem.
Ellis Whenman (Captain)
"Son of Rob" . A tank all over the pitch always giving 100 pct . Although strength and tackling are star qualities he has shown a great touch and excellent technique. A perfect captain.
James Warner
(Vice Captain)
Been with George since the under 8s and has grown into a great all round player. Happier on the right wing he has played all over the pitch and never stops running , giving his all for Larkfield.
Jonathon Heasman
Has progressed throughout his time with Rob and now looks at home in the new team. Very skillful and full of running he has already shown he is versatile dropping from attack to defence when needed. Will be very important to the team this year.
James Lindsey
This will be James' second season with Larkfield after a great season last year , hitting the back of the net regularly. Lightning pace , London 2012 100m beckons!
Lewis Fuller
Picked up by Rob in the transfer window(spotted doing keepie uppies) this lad has exceptional skill on the ball and shows great vision . A terrier in the tackle and doesnt stop running. This will be his second season after a great year in 2007/2008.
Chaz Geoffreys
Probably our most improved player last year in his debut season. Grew in confidence and proved to be a valuable member of the team .
Ben Veness
The heart of a lion! Ben was overcome with emotion when he helped the team win the league on the last day . Not surprisingly as he never stopped running and he had just put in the best performance of the season. Would have probably won the match even if he was playing on his own!!
Tom Saffell
Tom has been with Rob since the Juniors started and is getting better and better every week. Had an excellent start to the season defending against some very quick and tall attackers . Looks at ease on the ball and holds the back line really well . An important part of the team.
Joe White
Proved to be invaluable to the team especially after knocking in the winner on the last day of the season. A great season to look forward to in 2008/2009
Dominic Brown
Dominic played against us last year for Ditton . This will be his first season at Larkfield.Good luck Dominic.
Sahil Sethi
Sahil played against us last year for Maidstone Rangers and caused lots of problems for our defence. This will be his first season at Larkfield and we wish him well.
