WIDTH="470"><div> <I><B><U>A Little Bit of our History (well a Brand new team SO a few words on the first game..just so they can look back in 10 years time to see how it all began)</U></B></I></div> <bR> <div> The season started at home against Sittingbourne Lions. The boys who have only been together for about a month, seemed a bit overawed by the tough Lions team for the first 5 minutes but soon settled and started to put up a good fight. Missing their regular goalkeeper, stand in Samuel made a string of good saves in the first game to keep the score down and striker Mark saw a superb shot come of the post. The second game saw Ollie take over in goal & make a claim for the No2 keeper. Drew & Thomas were like rocks in defence , Tom's confidence grew in midfield , with some good tackles going in & Jack ran his socks off all over the pitch for both games.....and finally Mark got his reward with a great goal set up by Drew. The boys came off with smiles on their faces-they'd had no subs available, so they were exhausted but proud , as were the watching parents.
