Larkfield Football Tournament Rules

  General Rules
1.
Each team of Under 7's, 8's, 9's 10's and Under 12 Girls, will consist of players who must be under the relevant age as at the 1st September 2005.
2.
The tournament is KCFA registered and all bookings will be will be registered accordingly to relevant F.A.'s
3.
The Referee's decision is final on rules of the game and players conduct
4.
Cups or Shields presented to winners and runners up remain the property of Larkfield F.C. and must be returned by 30th April 2008
5.
All teams must be ready at the time stated or they will be liable to forfeit the match will be recorded as a 0-2 defeat.
6.
Winners and runners up only will be presented with individual trophies.
7.
Larkfield F.C. will award a maximum of  9 medals for the winners/runners up of the finals. If additional medals are required they can be purchased from the club.
8.
All complaints should be made to the organising committee whose decision will be final. The committee will not accept complaints relating to referee's decisions.
9.
The committee shall have the powers to deal with any matters arising that are not dealt within these rules. The committee also reserves the right to amend these rules.
10,
Under NO circumstance will refunds be made to teams who withdraw from the Tournament.
11.
Larkfield F.C. cannot accept responsibility for any personal injury sustained, or for the loss or damage to any personal possessions whilst at the tournament.
12.
The committee strongly recommends that all participating teams take out appropriate insurance cover for their players
13.
Appropriate footwear must be used. SHINGUARDS ARE MANDATORY and any player seen not wearing them will be sent from the pitch by the referee.
14.
These rules are binding to ALL participating teams.
 Six-a-side rules for Under 11's & Upwards

Normal FA rules apply other than the following: -

Pitch Rules: -
1. Kick-offs - Taken from the centre circle to start a match after a goal.
2. Offside - There will be no offside
3. When the ball goes out of play a throw in will be taken. A goal may not be scored directly from a throw in. Goal kicks may be taken from anywhere within the penalty area. When a free kick, goal kick or corner kick is taken opposing players must be at least 5 yards from the ball.
4. Only 6 players from each side allowed on the pitch at any point of play, but any number of substitutes may be used when there is a stop in play, with the permission of the referee. Any player substituted may re-enter the game.
5. All free-kicks will be direct.

Appropriate footwear must be used. SHINGUARDS ARE MANDATORY and any player seen not wearing them will be sent from the pitch by the referee.

The duration of all six a side matches will be 6 minutes each way with NO half time interval.

Points will be awarded as follows: Win = 3 points, Score Draw = 2 points, No Score Draw = 1 point. A bye will be recorded as a 2-0 victory.

During the knockout stages, in the event of a draw at the end of normal time extra time will be played, this will consist of one half of 3 minutes of football. There is NO Golden Goal. If the game is still level at the end of extra time then a penalty shootout will decide the result. Each team will take 3 penalties each, the taking players must be on the pitch at the end of extra time, and substitutions cannot be made at this point. If scores remain level then a sudden death penalty shootout will take place using the 3 remaining out field players and then goalkeepers if necessary to decide the match.

Qualification for the knockout stages will depend on the number of qualifying groups within the age group. If there are three qualifying groups then only each group winner will go forward to a round robin final against the other group winners. Where there are four groups both the winner and runner up of each group will go forward to the knock out stages.  In the event that two teams are equal on points at the conclusion of the group stage the decision on which team will progress will be decided in the following way:

1.The team with the best positive goal difference will progress - if still equal
2. The team that has scored the most goals will progress - if still equal
3.The team with most wins will progress - if still equal
4.The results between the equal teams only  - if still equal
5. A penalty shoot-out will commence

Where team colours clash, the team named second will change
